READ 8th Quarterly Performance Results & Learning Workshop (QPR&LW)

READ arranged its 8th Quarterly Performance Results & Learning Workshop (QPR&LW) from March 20-23, 2017 at Sylhet. The major objectives of the program include; sharing the achievements and progress of last quarter (January – March, 2017), strategies of sustainability, sharing implementation gaps and recommendations, advocacy and communication strategies & implementation and sharing of next quarter plan (April – June, 2017).

The event started with sharing last QPR &LW’s decisions its progress followed by an updated from newly launched READ initiative in Naogaon. All Project Officer (PO) presented consistency and inconsistency implementing activities in field level. READ central team shared some findings and recommendations for the smooth implementation of READ. Md Abdul Quayyum, Senior Manager-Communications and Media shared advocacy strategies. The participants shared their field visit experience followed by field visit by all the participants at Bahubal and Chunarughat in Sylhet. READ communications team briefed branding, communications strategies, success story cultivation, report writing and photograph taking tips to the audience. The participants discussed about the sustainable strategies of CRC, print-rich materials, Reading Instruction Adjustment (RIA), Instructions Adjustment Tools (IAT), Supplementary Reading Materials (SRM) initiatives. The event also included sharing implementation guideline, research updates and objectives and strategies of IAT.

Some major decisions taken on print-rich, book distributions, capacity building, mother’s gathering, CRC operational issues, M&E, IAT implementation, communications and branding, product dissemination workshops and reporting issues. 

Mst. Tahmina Khatun, Deputy Director-primary education, Rajshahi division closed the program with her expectation to spread READ initiatives all over Bangladesh.

A total of 65 participants including Dhaka team, field office team, and partner’s team attended the event.
